CCEL Serves volunteers will serve as Mandarin Chinese classroom assistants students who are learning the language at Roxboro Middle School. Volunteers should be at least conversational or proficient in Mandarin; being a native speaker of the language is not required. Participants should also enjoy working with children. Registered volunteers will meet in the CCEL office promptly at 12:40 p.m. and return to campus by 215 p.m. Transportation is provided in a CCEL van driven by the student Serves Leader.

Participants must register for the individual CCEL Serves: Flexible events in which they wish to participate. Flexible Serves registration opens approximately two weeks before each event. If registration is full, please join the waitlist as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the waitlist at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.

Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources (216.368.5230 or disability@case.edu), and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
