This year's DLA will focus on leadership and applying leadership skills to your everyday life. Special workshops to be run and student panelists will attend. We will also have a special guest from MetroHealth to speak at the event. (MANDATORY FOR EXECS: at least 2 execs per organization must attend. This event is also open to general body members.)

SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER: Dr. Charles Modlin serves as the medical director in the Office of DEI at MetroHealth. He was educated at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and conducted both his internship and residency at the NYU Medical Center. Dr. Modlin is currently working a physician who specializes in urology and kidney transplant surgery. He is also one of the few African Americans to hold the title of being a renowned kidney transplant surgeon. His book, called "It Isn't Difficult To Do It If You Know How To Do It", explains the challenges that he has faced while working towards his goals and how he was able to overcome them.
