The Church of the Covenant Gallery presents A Slice of Life, a collaborative exhibition of Cleveland artists attending the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA). The exhibition aims to explore ways we view ourselves, and captures the expression we give to the world. Students from CIA, Camron Wright and Annie J. Koppitch, are curating this show to gain valuable experience in arranging an exhibition and bringing together artists from their community. Pieces in our show include oil/acrylic paintings, colored pencil drawings, and a digital illustration piece. The artworks vary in levels of abstraction by use of color, and inclusion of symbolism. Through the language of art and via the artists' statements, they hope to provide a glimpse into our lives for viewers to enjoy. A Slice of Life will be on view at The Church of the Covenant Gallery from August 18th through October 31st, 2024.
