history education. Today these standards have become battlegrounds, leaving social
studies teachers in our public schools uncertain of what they can or cannot teach.
This year’s Ubbelohde Lecture will feature Dr. James Grossman, Executive Director of the
American Historical Association, the leading organization for professional historians and
teachers of history at all levels.

Thursday, September 26, 2024, 7 p.m.
