Movie Screening: Like Water for Chocolate

Join the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, and the Baker Nord Center for Humanities for a screening of the film Like Water for Chocolate. 

This screening is in collaboration with the exhibit SLOW MATTERS: Intersecting Food & Fields in the KSL Art Gallery. Curated by the Dept. of Modern Languages and Literatures, this exhibit showcases Slow Food activities at CWRU and the many connected fields and academic disciplines.

Movie description: Tradition holds back the youngest of three Mexican daughters from marrying the man that she loves. In an attempt to stay closer together, her beloved marries the young woman's sister and it is then that a magical and unique secret is discovered through her cooking.

This screening will be held in the Mather Center (TVUC 248) on November 6 at 4pm. Movie snacks provided.
