On April 12, from 1-6 PM, CWRU for Autism Acceptance and NAMI on Campus will be hosting our first Neurodiversity Fair in Thwing Atrium!

For those who might not know, the term "neurodiversity" refers to the fact that there is natural variation in how people process the world, respond to their surroundings, and generally cognitively function. Someone's way of processing the world may differ from a socially determined norm, but this does not mean their way is bad or that it should be treated like a problem to fix.

The purpose of this fair is to promote understanding of neurodiversity as well as celebrate the diversity in people's experiences. We've invited many organizations in our local community that support neurodivergent people such as NAMI Greater Cleveland and Milestones Autism Resources to come table. There will also be multiple student organizations tabling. In addition to tabling, there will be activities such as guest speakers, a magician performing, fidget toys, painting, games, and music.

Appetizers and snacks will be provided from Murray Hill Market. Extra credit for Math 122 and Phys 116 can be provided if you're taking one of these classes.

We hope to see you at the fair!
