unbox think[box]x Cleveland Botanical Garden: DIY Laser Cut Flower Press

Join us for a hands-on workshop in collaboration with the Cleveland Botanical Garden, where making meets nature! Participants will design and create their own wooden flower press using laser cutting technology, then learn how to preserve beautiful seasonal blooms.

During this guided session, guests will:

• Learn the basics of laser cutting and safely operate equipment
• Assemble a custom flower press to take home
• Explore the science and techniques behind flower pressing
• Hear directly from Botanical Garden staff about the flowers being used!

Participants will have access to a curated selection of fresh flowers—including hellebore, magnolia, daffodil, quince, pansy/viola, and more—to begin pressing in their newly made presses. Additional pre-pressed flowers will be available to create bookmarks, cards, or pins.

Guests may also personalize their flower press by engraving pre-designed patterns onto the wooden plates.

This workshop is free and open to all ages.
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

While participants are welcome to drop in, attending the full session is strongly recommended to complete the project.

All participants will leave with their own handmade flower press.
