This event is on November 13, 2026 from 12:30-2pm in the Sears think[box], 2nd Level. In collaboration with Sherwin-Williams, Sears think[box], and Center for Career Success, we are excited to announce a new Career & Industry Connections series at Sears think[box]! This series brings together experts and learners in the spirit of curiosity and creativity.

Join us for our kick-off session, a fascinating talk by Jim Leonard exploring the question, "What is Color?" Whether you're studying design, engineering, art, or science this is a conversation you won't want to miss!

Featured Speaker:

Jim Leonard, Color Scientist, The Sherwin-Williams Company

Jim Leonard holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has worked in several industries including consumer products, oil and gas, lighting, and paint and coatings. For the last 13 years he has worked for Sherwin-Williams research and development as a Color Scientist.
