Distinguished Lecture Series April 10th, 2026; 11am-12pm; CCF NE1-205 Alberto Esquenazi, MD “Clinical Application of Technology and Robotics in Rehabilitation” Alberto Esquenazi, MD, serves as the John Otto Haas Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Jefferson Einstein Medical Center, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is Chief Clinical Officer of Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation. Also in Philadelphia, Dr. Esquenazi is a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Jefferson University. Dr. Esquenazi received his medical degree in Medicine and Surgery from Universidad Nacional Autonoma, in Mexico City. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Temple slash MossRehab, in Philadelphia, and a fellowship in gait analysis and prosthetic research at MossRehab. Dr. Esquenazi’s research focuses on spasticity evaluation and management, gait analysis, limb prosthetics and orthotics and technology and robotics for rehabilitation. Dr. Esquenazi has published widely in peer reviewed journals and has authored more than 35 book chapters. He serves on the editorial boards for the Journal of PM and R and the Journal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation. He is an associate editor for several international rehabilitation journals. He is Past President of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a member of the Executive Board of the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association. He is the recipient of prestigious national and international awards for his clinical, research and educational efforts and has been recognized for several years among “Top Doctors” in Philadelphia magazine and America’s Top Doctors. The Distinguished Lecture Seminar Series is put on by the Advanced Platform Technology (APT) Center in partnership with Cleveland Clinic Research to bring in nationally recognized rehabilitation researchers to educate and foster collaborations with local research investigators, scientists, clinicians, students, and other professionals.
