Mission
The Academic Integrity Board is a group of students, faculty, and administrators who are committed to academic integrity and to raising the awareness of integrity issues at Case Western Reserve University. The Board conducts programs for both students and faculty to promote discussion about issues of integrity on campus. Our goal is to foster a campus environment where integrity is affirmed and celebrated by all members of the academic community. As a leading center for undergraduate learning and research, Case Western Reserve University is committed to upholding high standards for all of its members. In so doing, we hope to develop a community characterized by the values necessary to succeed in academic and professional life.

Our purpose is not only to communicate these values, but also to provide information and resources to assist students, staff, and faculty in integrating these values into their scholarly pursuits.

Mission
Athletes in Medicine (AIM) seeks to provide mentorship, education, and support to pre-med and pre-health CWRU varsity student-athletes from CWRU medical students who identify as former varsity collegiate athletes.

Membership Benefits
As a member, you will have the opportunity to help mentor current student-athletes and provide valuable experience and knowledge to those going through similar experiences. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet other former student-athlete medical students and expand your community at CWRU SOM. Panels, Q&As, mixers, and other events will be hosted.

The Case Western Reserve University Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) Pi Chapter was founded in 1930 and is the 16th chapter of more than 300 chapters nationwide. We are an honors organization for accounting students. Each week we have professional speakers from public accounting and industry come in to speak to our members. Our chapter also gives back to the community through volunteer events at the Cleveland Foodbank, Ronald McDonald House, and in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance IRS program regularly.

The mission of the Cardiology Interest Group at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is to foster a comprehensive understanding, appreciation and opportunity for professional development in the field of cardiology to CWRU medical students. We aim to inspire and educate future physicians by providing opportunities for learning, networking, and professional growth in cardiology. Our purpose is to provide education and exposure in cardiology by organizing lectures, workshops, and electives led by cardiologists, providing resources and support for students interested in research, and facilitating hands-on learning experiences. We encourage collaboration and innovation in cardiology by partnering with other groups and departments, promoting interdisciplinary projects, and supporting student-led initiatives. Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of leaders in cardiology dedicated to advancing heart health and saving lives.

Events: We host events throughout the year that are focused on exposing medical students to various aspects of Cardiology. Our past events have included medical device workshops, mentor speed dating, an EKG workshop, a Echocardiography workshop, and more!
Mentorship & Networking: CIG hosts several networking events designed to provide medical students interested in Cardiology with the opportunity to connect with mentors who may align with their interests within the field and can serve as longitudinal mentors for students. Faculty who attend these events are highly motivated to work with medical students and are usually open to allowing students to shadow and in many cases, become involved with their current research.
Research Guidance: CIG is currently working on a database of faculty members that have previously worked with medical students on various research topics relating to the field of Cardiology.
[Under Development–Cardiology Elective]: The Cardiology elective which will hopefully be launching in Fall 2024 aims to expose medical students to various subspecialties within the field of Cardiology. The format of the elective is expected to be a combination of a speaker series and journal club type elective that will span 8-10 weeks.

Our mission is to empower, engage, and educate individuals, care partners, and families living with dementia or other brain health issues to live a more fulfilling life through the arts, social interaction and community outreach.

The Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation for Brain Health has multiple enrichment and wellness programs for individuals with dementia and other cognitive health issues. During the sessions, student volunteers will join program directors in leading interactive sessions, including arts, dance, and music. Volunteer opportunities include weekly sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Center for Artful Living. An additional volunteer opportunity includes monthly Memory Cafe programs hosted at various Cuyahoga County public libraries, some in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic Center for Geriatric Medicine.

In keeping with CWRU's commitment to give back to the community, Doc Opera is a fundraising event for CWRU's Student Run Health Clinic. Our mission is to raise money for the program to provide quality healthcare and related services to those in our local community who lack adequate access or means.

Our secondary mission is to provide a venue for creative expression and interprofessionalism among the medical community and health professional students of Cleveland. Due to increasing popularity, attendance in recent years has reached over 1,000 guests per show, enabling us to donate tens of thousands of dollars to the Student Run Health Clinic. Doc Opera is a non-profit organization that relies on area businesses to help us defray the costs of production and to contribute to the annual donation we make to the Free Clinic. We are grateful for the donations and support we have received from many diverse businesses in various neighborhoods throughout the Cleveland area.

We promote education and training via workshops, simulations, and lectures to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. By facilitating mentorship and networking, we connect students with experienced professionals, creating a supportive community. Finally, we advocate for the specialty by raising awareness of the importance and challenges of emergency medicine. HOPE4 is a student initiative that volunteers with urban youth from Fairfax and the surrounding communities who are either currently in juvenile detention or who have recently been released. We conduct small-group sessions that involve mindfulness, writing, reflection, and both one-on-one and group activities to help combat recidivism and give these young people hope for the future. Sessions address topics such as safety, building a support network, belonging, love, forgiveness, self-esteem, knowledge and education, and self-actualization.

The mission of the national Medical Students for Choice organization is "Creating tomorrow's abortion providers and pro-choice physicians." Our chapter will further this mission by organizing events that raise awareness about issues of access to abortion, contraception, and women's healthcare among the CaseMed student body.

Members have access to national MSFC opportunities, including but not limited to online webinars and events, the Conference on Family Planning, Reproductive Health Externship, etc. At a school-wide level, we connect students with training opportunities such as our annual Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA) Workshop, the Family Planning Clinical Elective at Preterm for M4 students, the OBGYN Interest Group’s Well Women Workshop, and more. Lastly, our organization strives to advocate for reproductive health access upon collaborating with ProChoice Ohio, phone banking for reproductive rights, and supporting voter registration efforts—especially in election years.
