Now in its 49th year, the African American Society's Ebony Ball has been a time for celebration of the Black community at Case Western Reserve University. This year's theme, "Together We Bloom," exemplifies the growth of the black community on campus and highlights the importance of cultivating our community. Our keynote speaker this year will be Alana Belle, a Cleveland native and activist whose work focuses on reproductive justice and racial equity. Belle was named in Cleveland Magazine's "Most Interesting People" in 2019. The evening will include catered dinner, performances, a student performer, and plenty of time to dance!

The event will be held Sunday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. in the Thwing Excelsior Ballroom. All members of the campus community are welcome and encouraged to attend. Formal attire in garden colors is preferred. Undergraduate and graduate students from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Institute of Music, and Cleveland Institute of Art can attend for free; faculty, staff and alumni can attend for $5, and all other guests can also attend for $5.
