Cuban Cinema: Against All Odds: In a unique and rare opportunity, three leading figures of the Cuban cinema today meet in Cleveland this coming Wednesday, April 9: Luis Alberto García, the most important male actor of the island; Lester Hamlet, a talented director; and Juan Antonio García Borrero, one of the sharpest cinema critics. After watching the movie Ya no es antes (It's Not Longer Yesterday), they will discuss the film and the cinema production and challenges today in Cuba. The event will be bilingual.
