Spartans Stronger Together Virtual 5k (walk/run)

Mission:
The mission of this event is to unite all members of Case Western Reserve University under an anti-racist message. We denounce all racially motivated violence against people of color. We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and the victims of escalated hate crimes against Asian individuals. Over all, students and student athletes alike are working to dismantle systemic racism at the university and beyond. Participating in this event will not solve hundreds of years of mistreatment. However, it has the power to spark discussions about racism on campus with the intention of becoming inclusive, anti-racist community members.

Complete:
Please recruit your friends and teammates to participate in this virtual 5k. Can be completed in the week between April 26-May 2nd, you choose your own path. Either around the CWRU campus and community or 13 laps around the Sudeck track at Disanto Field. You can complete this event on your own, or run/walk as a relay with friends.

T-Shirt:
Cost of T-Shirt is included in participant fees. Participants can pick up their T-Shirts on April 26th at KSL Oval between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm Support: The CWRU athletic department is hosting this event in hopes to start important discussions around racism. Proceeds from registration will be donated to The Urban League of Greater Cleveland. https://ulcleveland.org/
