For those who might not know, the term "neurodiversity" refers to the fact that there is natural variation in how people process the world, respond to their surroundings, and generally cognitively function. Someone's way of processing the world may differ from a socially determined norm, but this does not mean their way is bad or that it should be treated like a problem to fix.
The purpose of this fair is to promote understanding of neurodiversity as well as celebrate the diversity in people's experiences. We've invited many organizations in our local community that support neurodivergent people, such as NAMI Greater Cleveland and the Northeast Ohio Neurodiversity Network, to come table. There will also be multiple student organizations tabling. In addition to tabling, there will be activities such as guest speakers, a magician performing, fidget toys, painting, games, music, and more!
Pizza from Dominos and sweets from Luna Bakery will be available. Extra credit for MATH 122 will be provided too.
We hope to see you at the fair!
