Volunteer at MedWish

BME GSA will be volunteering at the MedWish International warehouse sorting and packing medical supplies for humanitarian aid

Founded in 1993, MedWish International is an organization that saves lives by repurposing surplus medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid. They work with a range of healthcare providers to recover supplies from healthcare institutions around Northeast Ohio. Their medical surplus recovery eliminates about 450,000lbs from landfills.

MedWish has a very extensive process to ensure the viability and integrity of the supplies they send. Volunteers help categorize items, check expiration dates, pack, count and weigh boxes for inventory and shipment. Closed toe shoes are required in the warehouse!!
