6th Annual Black 2 School BBQ

The Annual Black2School BBQ is a staple event facilitated by the Black Student Union to initiate collaboration between ALL Black Organizations within the Union as well as welcome incoming and returning students. This event aligns with the primary goals of the BSU which is to cultivate community and unify the affinity groups identified within the African diaspora. As the black student population continues to increase, it has become increasingly important to ensure the needs of this community are being heard and served. The BBQ helps us do this by exposing students to a variety of networks (cultural, administrative, and professional) that may prove beneficial in maximizing their student experience. Over the years, attendance to BBQ has tripled which may be a symbol of the event’s pool. Nonetheless, it is our desire and duty as a unifying body to uphold this tradition.
