Informal talk and light supper with prize winning historian and professor of history, Dr. Gillian Weiss.
Dr. Weiss takes us back to 17th century France and Louis XIV’s Mediterranean empire. Her exciting research focuses on a previously unexplored aspect of the Sun King’s operations – slavery. She will also share her work-in-progress on a special exhibit on enslaved Muslims in enlightenment Europe scheduled to open in Paris in April 2026.
