The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: Becoming a Beloved Community

  • Opening remarks by Reverend Dr. Jawanza Colvin, the pastor, Olivet Baptist Institutional Church, museum trustee and inaugural chair of the museum’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee
  • Cuyahoga County poet laureate Honey Bell-Bey and acclaimed poet Orlando Watson use Michelangelo Lovelace’s painting My Home Town (1998) as a departure point to explore Rev. Dr. King Jr.’s Beloved Community

Join the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning (CCEL) and the CWRU Vote Everywhere Ambassadors for an evening of virtual presidential inauguration trivia via Kahoot from the comfort of your own home on January 19, 2021 from 7 to 7:45 p.m. EST! We'll also share resources and information on how to watch the Presidential Inauguration taking place on January 20, 2021, as well as how to register to vote through case.turbovote.org.
