The Civic Engagement Scholars program, hosted by the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning (CCEL), promotes meaningful student involvement in the community.

Over an academic year, Scholars complete a 25 or 45 hour track of civic engagement activity hours and participate in educational events to enhance their understanding of community and social change. Upon successful completion, Scholars will be recognized for their commitment. Open to both graduate students and undergrads; many students participate multiple years! Learn more at the Civic Engagement Scholars website and enroll here by Sept. 16.

A nonpartisan volunteer group organized by the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning (CCEL), CWRUVotes actively promotes  voter registration, voter education, and political engagement within the CWRU community.

Join us to assist in non-partisan voter engagement activities such as:

  • Hosting voter registration tabling events across campus
  • Helping to plan voter education events
  • Assisting with voter turnout during Early Voting and on Election Day

The application is available now, the priority deadline is Wednesday, September 11. Visit the CWRU Votes website or email Erin Corwin at exc390@case.edu for more information.

There is no cost to attend and transportation will be provided to the event at The University of Dayton. Students interested in attending must
apply here by this Monday, Sept. 9. For additional information contact Erin Corwin at exc390@case.edu.

Note Regarding Opportunities

Please note that the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning alerts students to a range of community-based opportunities—posted opportunities are a sampling of options, not endorsements. Students should independently research opportunities carefully to make sure the program is a good match for their interests.
