Site Information: The Louis B. Stokes Cleveland Veteran's Affairs Medical Center (VA) cares for those who have served in our nation’s military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors, including providing healthcare.

Service Information: The VA is hosting a movie night at the VA Center in their recreation room. Volunteers are needed to help the residents get to the rec room (pushing wheelchairs or escorting them), to help them get food and drinks and settle in for the movie, to enjoy the movie with them, and help them back up to their rooms after the movie.

Time and Place: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 5:15 pm. and return to campus by 8:15 p.m. Volunteers will walk to the site (0.5 mile) together with a CCEL Student Leader.

Waiting List + Cancellation Policy:
  • If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
  • Upon registering, please do your best to honor the commitment you've made to this activity.
  • If you are no longer able to attend, please email serves@case.edu as soon as possible to inform CCEL staff - less than 24 hours will be considered an unexcused absence.
  • Not notifying our staff of absences or too many absences in one semester may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.

Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources (216.368.5230 or disability@case.edu), and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
