Saturday of Service: Ronald McDonald House Game Day

Site Description: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio enhances the healthcare experience for families and children through comfort, care and supportive services.  Ronald McDonald House programs in Akron and Cleveland offer a place to call home at no charge so families can access the best health care, regardless of their location, providing a safe, secure and supportive environment for families.

Service Description:  Volunteers will host a Game Day activity for children and their families. Volunteers are asked to bring a few board games, decks of cards, or outdoor games if the weather is cooperative, and play those games with residents to proovide a much-needed distraction. 

When/Where: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office (TVUC #165) at 11:30 am. and return to campus by 2:15 pm. Volunteers will walk together to the site as arranged by your group leader.

Please note: You will be working with children and families who may be preparing for or recovering from medical procedures, so all volunteers must be completely illness/symptom free (cold, flu, fever, stomach virus, etc.) for at least seven (7) days prior to volunteering. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and modest clothing (no low necks, bare midriffs, or short shorts, please).
