Details
Service Information: Power of Plants is an educational program that highlights the many benefits that plants provide and teaches kids that people need plants to survive. Volunteers will monitor one of the 10 activity stations during the program. Some of the plant activity stations focus on products, shelter, careers, and health & wellness. The start of the shift will be an orientation to the program and a training on the different activity stations. Volunteers should be comfortable engaging kids and their caregivers with fun activities that are also educational!
Time and Location: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 9:45 am. and return to campus by 12:45 p.m. Volunteers will walk together to the site with a CCEL Student Leader.
Wait List/Cancelations: If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
If you sign up for this activity, please do everything you can to honor your commitment. If you are no longer able to attend, please inform CCEL 48 hours or more before the start time by emailing serves@case.edu. Not doing so may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.
Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources (216.368.5230 or disability@case.edu), and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
