Site Description: The Father Michael Wittman Ozanam Center in East Cleveland provides access to food and clothing to those in need. The Center is open every Saturday and relies solely on the help of volunteers.
Service Description: Volunteers are needed to register and check in and out clients, sort and hang clothing, pack grocery bags, and offer hospitality. The project may include lifting bags and/or boxes and standing on your feet for the duration of the service.
When/Where: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 8:45 a.m. and return to campus by 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will travel together to the site, with transportation provided by a CCEL Student Leader.
If you no longer plan to attend, please make sure to take your name off the list at least 48 hours before the program in order to make room for someone on the waitlist. Not doing so may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL programs.
Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources (216.368.5230 or disability@case.edu), and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
