CCEL Serves: Food Strong Superior Farm Fix Up

Site Details: Food Strong has a new farm in Cleveland in the St. Clair-Superior neighborhood! The farm is in dire need of restoration, cleanup, organization, and more. The three-acre property will serve as the new Food Strong headquarters, an urban farm and a community gathering place. The space will serve the community in broad ways by providing volunteer housing, nonprofit office space, vocational training and critical health services for Cleveland residents. 

Service Details: Volunteers are needed to clear the property of brush, chip up wood, landscape and clear trash. During the colder months volunteers will help organize the interior spaces and clear debris and unwanted items. 

When + Where: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 4:45 p.m. and return to campus by 7:15 p.m. Transportation is provided to the site in a CCEL van driven by a CCEL Student Leader.

Waiting List + Cancellation Policy: 

• If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
• Upon registering, please do your best to honor the commitment you've made to this activity.
• If you are no longer able to attend, please delete your registration in Campus Groups as soon as possible. If your cancellation is within 48 hours, please email serves@case.edu as soon as possible to inform CCEL staff - less than 24 hours will be considered an unexcused absence.
• Not notifying our staff of absences or too many absences in one semester may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.
