Details
Site Details: Holden Forests & Gardens takes pride in connecting people with the wonder, beauty, and immense value of trees and plants. Cleveland Botanical Gardens, located in the heart of Cleveland’s iconic University Circle, offers an enchanting escape from our bustling city.
Service Details: Help create the next generation of environmental stewards by supporting our work in the CLE4Sci program! In this activity you'll help us create learning packets used in our interactive science programming for Cleveland Public School students. You'll help sort and package materials, assemble items, and package and label kits, all while learning a bit about the benefits of plants, enjoying some snacks and fun, and getting a take-home thank you for helping out! You can also enjoy free admission to explore our amazing Cactus Society Show & Sale before or after volunteering!
When + Where: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 11:45 am and return to campus by 3:15 pm. Volunteers will travel together to the site with a CCEL student leader.
Waiting List + Cancellation Policy:
- If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
- Upon registering, please do your best to honor the commitment you've made to this activity.
- If you are no longer able to attend, please delete your registration in Campus Groups as soon as possible. If your cancellation is within 48 hours, please email serves@case.edu as soon as possible to inform CCEL staff - less than 24 hours will be considered an unexcused absence.
- Not notifying our staff of absences or too many absences in one semester may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.
Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources (216.368.5230 or disability@case.edu), and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
