Site Details: Holden Forests & Gardens takes pride in connecting people with the wonder, beauty, and immense value of trees and plants.
Service Details: Celebrate Ohio Native Plant month by helping us create pollinator garden seed packets for distribution in our community in April! You'll help sort, package and label a custom-made blend of local seeds, learn about the benefits of "growing native," and enjoy snacks, fun and a take-home thank you for helping out! You can also enjoy free admission and parking to explore our amazing Arboretum before or after volunteering.
When + Where: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 9:15 a.m. and return to campus by 1:30 p.m., unless otherwise instructed by your group leader. This is a group adoption project; group leaders are responsible for coordinating their own transportation to the site. (approx. 30 minutes drive time) (Site Location: Long Science Center, 9680 Mitchells Mill Rd, Willoughby)
Waiting List + Cancellation Policy:
- If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
- Upon registering, please do your best to honor the commitment you've made to this activity.
- If you are no longer able to attend, please delete your registration in Campus Groups as soon as possible. If your cancellation is within 48 hours, please email serves@case.edu as soon as possible to inform CCEL staff - less than 24 hours will be considered an unexcused absence.
- Not notifying our staff of absences or too many absences in one semester may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.
