Details

Site Details: Cleveland Cultural Gardens organization is over 100 years old- it consists to date of over 36 various cultural gardens on land that is over 164 acres of land that was donated by Rockefeller to the city of Cleveland in 1916. Each cultural community is responsible for caring for the beautiful grounds, statues and gardens. They rely on volunteers to beautify the historical Gardens.

Service Details:  Volunteers are needed to rake and spruce up the gardens in preparation for spring, remove trash and debris, and plant bulbs for spring.

When + Where: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 10:45 a.m. and return to campus by 1:15 p.m., unless otherwise instructed by your group leader. This is a group adoption project; group leaders are responsible for coordinating their own transportation to the site. (approx. 10 minutes drive time) (Site Location: 1004 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Cleveland)

Waiting List + Cancellation Policy: 

  • If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
  • Upon registering, please do your best to honor the commitment you've made to this activity.
  • If you are no longer able to attend, please delete your registration in Campus Groups as soon as possible. If your cancellation is within 48 hours, please email serves@case.edu as soon as possible to inform CCEL staff - less than 24 hours will be considered an unexcused absence.
  • Not notifying our staff of absences or too many absences in one semester may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.
