Saturday of Service: Garden@Case

Site Description: Garden@Case is a community garden maintained by faculty, staff, and students of Case Western Reserve University. Volunteers raise the food to be donated locally. 

Service Description:  Volunteers will be tasked with light clean up around the garden space to remove any trash that has blown in over the winter. In addition we will be removing dead plant matter from beds, turning over soil to prep beds for Spring planting and sowing some early Spring seeds. We may also have compost to add to beds. There will be no heavy lifting required but volunteers should wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.

When + Where: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 10:45 am and finish by 2:00 pm. Volunteers will walk together to the site with a CCEL student leader.

Waiting List + Cancellation Policy: 

• If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
• Upon registering, please do your best to honor the commitment you've made to this activity.
• If you are no longer able to attend, please delete your registration in Campus Groups as soon as possible. If your cancellation is within 48 hours, please email serves@case.edu as soon as possible to inform CCEL staff - less than 24 hours will be considered an unexcused absence.
• Not notifying our staff of absences or too many absences in one semester may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.
