Registration deadline is Thursday, November 10th, and spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis. If there is a waitlist, please show up to CCEL for possible no shows.

8:15 AM – 12:45 PM
The Hunger Network has been working to end hunger and build a healthier communities for over 25 years. Volunteer at the new neighborhood pantry! Volunteers are needed to help visitors shop and check out.
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Kids Against Hunger is a student organization at CWRU whose mission is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and throughout the world. KAH works with local partners in Cleveland to pack and distribute highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified soy-rice casserole. Help with KAH's next big food packing event during Saturday of Service! Volunteers on the assembly line will help with a variety of tasks associated with packaging the meals. Tasks might include mixing ingredients, weighing the packages, and sealing the packages. Volunteers will go directly to the Fribley Multipurpose Room at the start of the shift to participate in the project.

Clean-up volunteers will help load the meals into the truck, break down tables, and help clean up the room after the packaging event. Some heavy lifting may be required. Volunteers on the assembly line will help with a variety of tasks associated with packaging the meals. Volunteers will go directly to the Fribley Multipurpose Room at the start of the shift to participate in the project.
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Saint Martin de Porres collaborates with the Cleveland Food Bank to offer a Food Pantry on the 3rd Friday of every month for all in their community. Volunteers are needed in handing out donations.
2:45 PM – 4:45 PM
Goods Bank NEO bridges the gap by getting new, quality goods donated by generous companies to people in need and the organizations that serve them. They help nonprofits, schools and faith-based organizations provide new goods to the people they serve or use them to support their operations, all for a nominal handling fee. Volunteers will help sort and stock shelves, build furniture pieces and help visitors shop.
3:00 PM – 5:15 PM
Family Promise of Greater Cleveland helps over 100 unhoused families each year secure independent housing and the means to sustain it. Volunteers will help with sorting and organizing donations.
3:20 PM – 7:15 PM

Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry Men's Shelter is an organization that is committed to providing emergency shelter, supportive services, and solutions to the unhoused. Volunteers will assist in serving dinner from the shelter's kitchen. Volunteers should dress comfortably but modestly (i.e. - no tank tops, tight clothes, or shorts). Volunteers are strictly required to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants to participate in this project. Any volunteers under 18 years old, should contact dxh559@case.edu with CCEL in advance of the event for a parent/guardian waiver.
12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Cozy up with a winter act of kindness. Come make blankets for the unhoused to keep them warm during the long winter months. The blankets will be donated to Labre Homeless Outreach Program. Labre is a student organization that serves the unhoused population of Greater Cleveland in a variety of ways, from providing hot meals to offering blankets, clothing, and toiletry items.

EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute offers formerly incarcerated adults a foundation in the culinary and hospitality industries, and a support network necessary for long-term success. While enrolled in the program, EDWINS students are provided free housing, legal services, and now free daycare. EDWINS Family Center is opening in early 2023 and will provide free daycare to the students enrolled. We need your help painting the newly purchased building! Food and drinks will be provided.

Fairfax Renaissance Development Corporation develops affordable and market rate housing, green projects, and other economic growth activities for the Cleveland community. Fairfax is hosting a neighborhood cleanup and volunteers are needed to help pick up loose trash and remove debris to assist with the cleanup effort. "Everyone wants to live, play and work in a clean and green community . . and it's up to everyone to make it possible and improve the overall quality of life for us all."

Help serve a meal with the H.O.P.E. Hot Meal Soup Kitchen! The Hot meal Program has been operating as a ministry of Outreach to the community since 1983. Several thousands of meals are served to men, women and children every year. We are in need of volunteers that will assist in organizing the pantry, logging refrigerator temperatures and assistance in the kitchen with meal preparation.
