Site Information:  Seeds of Literacy is a non-profit organization that provides FREE basic education to adults in the Cleveland area, working to break a root cause of poverty: illiteracy.

Service Information: Volunteers will assist adults with high school coursework as they work towards completing their GED. High school level math tutoring skills are particularly beneficial, and the organization is also in need of Spanish-speaking volunteers.

Time commitment: This site requires a weekly commitment for one semester and takes place on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, which includes transportation time. Transportation is provided in the CCEL van by a CCEL Student Leader. Registered students will serve on the following 11 Tuesdays: 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/5, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, and 4/23.

Pre-Service Requirement:  Volunteers are required to attend a mandatory training on Wednesday, January 31 from 5:30-8:30 pm. Transportation will be provided. Registered volunteers will receive more information soon.
