Site Information: The mission of the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank is to foster literacy and a love of reading by providing free books to children in need.

Service Information: Volunteers are needed to sort and pack the books by reading level so that partner sites can distribute them accordingly. Please note: Some heavy lifting could be involved in moving packed boxes, and volunteers should be prepared to stand for the duration of the program.

Time and Location: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 12:30 p.m. and return to campus by 3:15 p.m. Volunteers will travel together to the site with a CCEL Student Leader.

Wait List/Cancelations: If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
If you sign up for this activity, please do everything you can to honor your commitment. If you are no longer able to attend, please inform CCEL 48 hours or more before the start time by emailing serves@case.edu. Not doing so may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.

Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources (216.368.5230 or disability@case.edu), and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
