Site Information: Holden Forests & Gardens takes pride in connecting people with the wonder, beauty, and immense value of trees and plants. Cleveland Botanical Gardens, located in the heart of Cleveland’s iconic University Circle, offers an enchanting escape from our bustling city.

Service Information: After the snow melts and winter goes away, the gardens are ready to be cleaned up for new plants to emerge and annuals planted. Volunteers will help rake and remove debris from the gardens. Volunteers must wear appropriate attire for the weather (closed-toe/closed-heel shoes required) and be able to get dirty and work with basic garden tools.

Time and Location: Registered volunteers will meet at the CCEL office at 8:30 am. and return to campus by 12:15 p.m. Volunteers will walk together to the site with a CCEL Student Leader.

Wait List/Cancelations: If registration is full, please join the wait list as you will receive an email update if a spot becomes available. If you are still on the wait list at the time of the event, you are welcome to stop by CCEL at that time to see if any last-minute spots open.
If you sign up for this activity, please do everything you can to honor your commitment. If you are no longer able to attend, please inform CCEL 48 hours or more before the start time by emailing serves@case.edu. Not doing so may impact your ability to participate in future CCEL Serves programs.

Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources (216.368.5230 or disability@case.edu), and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
