Semester Serves: Thea Bowman Center (Tuesdays 5-8pm)

Semester Serves volunteers will assist adults with high school coursework as they work towards completing their GED. This program takes place Tuesdays from 5 to 8 p.m., which includes transportation time. Transportation is provided in the CCEL van by the CCEL Serves student leader.

On the first day of the site (Tuesday, September 25), volunteers should be free to leave campus at 4:30 p.m. for a training at the site. You will still be back to campus by 8 p.m. The specific dates of the program will be as follows: 9/25 (mandatory for new volunteers; leave campus at 4:30 p.m.), 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 11/27, & 12/4. Outside of these dates, there will also be one special group reflection session over a snack that the student Serves Leader coordinates based on group members' schedules.
