Registration deadline is Wednesday, November 6, and spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

8:45 AM – 12:15 PM
Volunteers will assist with set-up activities at the Cleveland Botanical Garden for the upcoming holiday event, Glow! Activities will include painting shelves, sorting/arranging holiday decor, hanging lights on outside trees and fences, prepping children's crafts, and more. Volunteers should bring a filled water bottle and dress for the weather in comfortable, work-appropriate clothes and closed-toed shoes as some outside work in the gardens is expected.
8:45 AM – 1:45 PM
The Father Michael Wittman Ozanam Center at St. Philomena Church in East Cleveland provides access to food and clothing to those in need. The Center is open every Saturday and relies solely on the help of volunteers. Volunteers are needed to register and check in & out clients, offer hospitality, sort and hang clothing, pack grocery bags, and more. Volunteers should dress for the weather as they may be working in an unheated garage, bring a filled water bottle, wear comfortable, work-appropriate clothes and closed-toed shoes.
8:45 AM – 12:15 PM
Help a child succeed! Be a tutor in The Saturday Tutoring Program, which provides free tutoring for students in Grades 1-12 from school districts throughout Greater Cleveland. Volunteers who choose to help with elementary school students will spend time on their homework as well as math and reading. Volunteers who work with high school students will concentrate on specific subjects or testing, such as the ACT, SAT, or OGT. Student must be 18 to volunteer for this project.
9:45 AM – 12:00 PM
Summer on the Cuyahoga is a conduit between universities, businesses, and nonprofits to host paid summer internships for college students while showcasing Cleveland's attractions. Volunteers are needed to assist with annual donor mailing prep by stuffing, labeling, and stamping envelopes. The project will take place on campus.
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Kids Against Hunger is a student organization at CWRU whose mission is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and throughout the world. KAH works with local partners in Cleveland to pack and distribute highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified soy-rice casserole. Help with KAH's next big food packing event during Saturday of Service! Set-up volunteers will help unload the meals from the truck, set-up tables, and help get the room ready for the packaging event. Some heavy lifting may be required. Volunteers on the assembly line will help with a variety of tasks associated with packaging the meals. Volunteers will go directly to the Wade Commons Pioneer Room at the start of the shift to participate in the project.
10:15 AM – 3:00 PM
The Children's Museum of Cleveland is in a historic home in Cleveland's MidTown neighborhood and promotes learning through play using innovative exhibits and programs designed for all children from birth to age 8. Volunteers will help with general cleaning in and around the museum. If time permits, volunteers will be able to interact with visitors in the museum. Closed-toed shoes and long pants are required to participate in this project. Volunteers should bring a filled water bottle and dress for the weather as some work may be done outside. Student must be 18 to volunteer for this project.
10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Joseph's Home, a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System, provides a nurturing, caring environment for men without resources who have acute medical needs, helping them heal and achieve independence. It is the only homeless service provider in Northeast Ohio exclusively focused on medical respite care. While men stabilize from their physical illness in a faith-based environment, they also develop their individual housing plans and connections to behavioral health supports. Volunteers will prepare and serve a meal to the men in residence at Joseph's Home. If time permits, they may also be asked to visit with residents. Volunteers should bring a filled water bottle, and wear comfortable, work-appropriate clothes and sturdy, closed-toed shoes.

Kids Against Hunger is a student organization at CWRU whose mission is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and throughout the world. KAH works with local partners in Cleveland to pack and distribute highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified soy-rice casserole. Help with KAH's next big food packing event during Saturday of Service! The mission of the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank is to foster literacy and a love of reading by providing free books to children in need. Volunteers are needed to sort and pack the books by reading level so that partner sites can distribute them accordingly. Some heavy lifting could be involved in moving packed boxes, and volunteers should be prepared to stand for the duration of the program. Volunteers should bring a filled water bottle, wear comfortable, work-appropriate clothes and closed-toed shoes.
