The Advocacy 101 workshop on Friday, February 21 from 4:45 to 6 p.m. in Thwing Center, Room 101 is designed to give you the tools to help you take a stand for the issues you believe in. During this workshop, Larry Bresler, CWRU Professor and Executive Director of Organize! Ohio, will overview what advocacy is and offer tips to become a more confident advocate. Student organizations will also help you see CWRU student advocates in action by sharing ways they have used advocacy tools, such as public education, dialogue, political engagement, demonstrations, and more, to make change on causes they care about.

Dinner from the Jolly Scholar will be served, and a $100 grant will be given to the student organization that brings the most members (members must attend the full event, and the winning organization must have a CWRU speedtype where the funds will be journaled). Register online.

Co-sponsored by the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning (CCEL) Executive Council and Lambda Eta Mu.
