Join CCEL’s Student Executive Council for a trip to hear the final round pitches at the Cleveland Leadership Center’s annual Accelerate pitch competition. You’ll hear community members present about their civic innovation ideas within the categories of Authentic Cleveland Experiences, Community Change, Economic & Workforce Development, Educating for Tomorrow, Health & Wellness, and Quality of Life (presenter list and ideas available online).

Registered participants should meet CCEL Exec promptly at 6 p.m. in Thwing Atrium on Thursday, February 27. You will be taking the RTA healthline to and from the Global Center for Health Innovation. The actual time you’ll be at the site is from about 6:45 to 8:15 p.m., and you will be back to campus by about 9 p.m. There may be light appetizers still available, but it is recommended to eat dinner before coming. Please ensure that you are able to attend before registering via CampusGroups as CCEL will be paying in advance to cover the costs of students’ registrations so that they can attend for free (note: this is a dry trip, so we ask that you refrain from drinking alcohol at the event). If you would like to go on your own to see the full pitch competition (schedule here), please contact adrian.griffin@case.edu. CampusGroups registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, February 23.

If you have not already done so, please pick up a new RTA sticker for Spring semester in order to travel for free on the healthline. Otherwise, please plan to pay for a roundtrip RTA ticket. Undergraduate students can pick up their RTA stickers from Access Services (if you live off-campus) or from the Housing office in the basement of Thwing (if you live on-campus).
