Engage in spooky fun with Literary Cleveland and CCEL’s student Executive Council as we listen to recorded author readings of original noir stories written by greater Cleveland authors set in Cleveland and nearby places. Stories you will hear include snippets from authors Abby Collete (A Deadly Inside Scoop), Susan Petrone (Heebie-Jeebie Girl), and Stephanie Cole (Al Dente’s Inferno). We will also learn about the history of and upcoming events from Literary Cleveland, a local nonprofit “and creative writing center that empowers people to explore other voices and discover their own,” by hearing from the organization’s Executive Director, Matt Weinkham. Please check your CampusGroups reminder email that you’ll receive after registering for the Zoom connection details.

*Bonus, attending this event fulfills the "Art" or "Community" categories for CCEL's CWRUinCLE Challenge!

Civic Engagement Scholars can also count time spent attending the event towards “participation in associations” Civic Engagement Hours.

Students, staff, and faculty welcome!
