Join CCEL’s student Executive Council for a free online film and discussion as part of CCEL’s October focus on Political Involvement! Students are invited to watch on their own the documentary Represent and then join CCEL Exec on Friday, October 16 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. EST via Zoom for a conversation with Julie Cho, a CWRU alum whose run for public office is depicted in the film, followed by a discussion about your thoughts on the film.

Represent follows three women on their journeys of running for public office in the Midwest. Though the women come from different sides of the political spectrum, they all aspire to be changemakers and improve their communities. The film explores personal and professional triumphs and setbacks for the three main characters.

You will receive the promo code for the film in the CampusGroups confirmation email upon registering for this event. Please watch the film, which is about 1.5 hours long, prior to the October 16 discussion. CCEL is covering the cost of 50 students to watch the film for free, so please ensure you can participate in both the independent screening AND the October 16 discussion before registering. Please also check your CampusGroups confirmation email for the Zoom connection details for the October 16 discussion.
