Nottingham Spirk, Fall Co-Ops
Nottingham Spirk is a local design firm, located within walking distance from campus. They hold hundreds of patents for designing products including the Swiffer, a wind resistant propane heater, the Febreze air duster, and the Schick electric shaver, just to name a few. Nottingham Spirk is looking to hire 2 CWRU students this fall! One co-op is a Firmware co-op and the second is an electrical engineering co-op. Both job descriptions are attached.
They prefer candidates who have completed a minimum of 3 years of a BS degree program by August 2023. Masters students are welcome to apply, too.

The program runs through the 2023-2024 academic year, providing you with a range of entrepreneurial education through credit-bearing courses and experiential learning.

Program outline:
FALL 2023
Global Technology Leadership (VEAL 333): this 1-credit course will cover all the basics you need to get started as an entrepreneur, including value proposition, leadership, and technology.
Fall Break San Francisco Startup Trek: fellows will travel and visit CWRU alumni companies in Silicon Valley over fall break.
SPRING 2024
Innovation and Entrepreneurship (VEAL 334): 3 credit course focused on a project-based entrepreneurship experience.
Spring Break Trek: fellows will visit a startup ecosystem TBD.
Course registration is required, location for treks are subject to change.
Miscellaneous
Black Graduation
Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to the eighth annual Black Graduation to celebrate the 2023 graduating class of Black undergraduate and graduate students at CWRU and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
The celebration will be held Tuesday, May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom. There will be a ceremony program followed by a reception with refreshments. Register to attend.
