The Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC) Distinguished Speaker Series will invite prominent experts from various fields to share their knowledge, insights, and expertise. We will highlight nationally recognized researchers in clinical and translational science and hope to showcase the innovative work that other CTSA programs are working on.

The February Distinguished Speaker is Dr. Nadine Rouphael. Dr. Nadine Rouphael, MD is the Sumner E. Thompson, III Distinguished Professor of Vaccinology and Infectious Diseases at Emory University. Her research focuses on a wide range of topics including antimicrobial resistance, vaccine clinical trials, innovative vaccine delivery methods, translational research on innate immunity and systems biology, as well as immune aging and the identification of correlates of protection. The focus of Dr. Rouphael's presentation will highlight how systems vaccinology enhances our understanding of variability in vaccine responses across diverse populations, while also providing a foundation for the rational design of more effective vaccines.

This online session will be held in-person on Wednesday, February 26, from noon to 1 p.m.
