Website Mission
Mission The Posse Foundation is a nonprofit organization that identifies, recruits, and trains student leaders from public high schools to form multicultural teams called "Posses" of 10 Posse Scholars. These teams are then prepared, through an intensive eight-month Pre-Collegiate Training Program, for enrollment at top-tier universities nationwide to pursue their academics, help promote cross-cultural communication and become leaders on college campuses. CWRU welcomed its first Posse from New Orleans in the fall of 2017. Posse scholars are involved in a number of campus organizations and organize an annual weekend retreat that is open the entire campus community (undergraduate students, graduate students, alumni, faculty and staff) with the goal of discussing an important campus issue as identified by Posse scholars. The topic of the 2018 retreat is: "Hope, Hate, and Race".
