Membership BenefitsWhat E.V.O.K.E Offers: Cultural Immersion and Advocacy: E.V.O.K.E offers members a rich cultural immersion into East African heritage through educational events, workshops, and celebrations. We stand as a vocal advocate for humanitarian issues affecting the East African community, both on campus and abroad. Events: Personal Narrative Evenings: Sharing sessions where members and guests from East African backgrounds tell their stories, fostering understanding and community. Cultural Workshops: Interactive classes on East African arts, cooking, and languages. Film and Discussion Nights: Screenings of East African films followed by discussions, offering insights into the region’s culture and contemporary issues. Cultural Festivals: Celebrations of significant East African cultural dates with authentic music, dance, and cuisine. Humanitarian Campaigns: Initiatives to support and bring awareness to causes and crises in East Africa, connecting members with larger global efforts. Communications: Monthly Newsletters: Updates on upcoming events, cultural spotlights, and news related to East African communities. Social Media Updates: Regular posts on Instagram, and Website to engage members with vibrant content and important conversations. Member Meetings: Regularly scheduled meetings to discuss club progress, upcoming events, and member-led initiatives.
