Mission The mission of Office for Equity at Case Western Reserve University is to facilitate the academic and personal success of students and employees who have survived, experienced or are experiencing sexual harassment, as well as sexual violence and other kinds of discrimination and harassment. Equity does this by reaching out to students who have had these experiences and offering support, including connections to mental health or advocacy or other resources, and academic support. Through the Sexual Harassment Policy, the Non-Discrimination Policy and the No Retaliation Policy, the Office for Equity also maintains and implements a complaint and investigation process. To help Equity offer support to everyone who might need it, CWRU maintains a Responsible Employee system in which CWRU employees share information with the Office for Equity when they learn that a student or other member of the CWRU community may have experienced sexual harassment or sexual violence. Equity also supports anyone reported to have violated any of the above policies.
