Details
Harry Abraham was born in Frickhofen, Germany. His family home was attacked on Kristallnacht, and his father was sent to the Buchenwald concentration camp. In the months before the outbreak of the Second World War, Abraham's family was able to flee around the world to Shanghai, China, virtually the only destination in the world open to Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi persecution. Abraham and his daughter will share their family's story in this special event for CWRU students, faculty, and staff.
