According to Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation, two objects dropped from the same height will land on the ground at the same time. But physics is an experimental science! Join us on the Case Quad outside of Strosacker Auditorium for our annual Physics Department Pumpkin Drop as we release a pair of pumpkins simultaneously to fall to their ultimate fate on hard pavement below. Will the Law of Gravity be proven right once again? Cider will be served. Some "show and tell" physics demonstrations to follow.
