A 1.5-hour Zoom workshop for doctoral students and postdocs only. Join us at https://zoom.us/j/323894013.

The most successful researchers benefit from a robust network of real-world connections in a variety of arenas. Advantages include opportunities for fruitful collaboration, access to information, both social and instrumental support, and the ability to build a national and international reputation. For academics to whom networking comes easily, this workshop will provide additional tips and strategies, and for those who are "schmooze–adverse," the workshop will identify methods to build connections in ways that suit one's personality and style. We will also consider how to maintain, add, and strengthen relationships during this time of social disruption, when face-to-face conferences and social gatherings are suspended.

To create the best experience for everyone, please join from a device with a camera so we can see as well as hear each other, and please refrain from multitasking during the workshop. That said, given that so many are currently working from home, we will be forgiving if you need to participate while holding your child, or if your cat walks across your keyboard.
