The Dean of Students Office is central to the educational mission of Case Western Reserve University, seeking to retain students and providing them an environment conducive to academic success. In an effort to respond to the needs of students and the campus community, the Division of Student Affairs has established case management, Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) and CARE Management. Case Managers (non-clinical), BIT and CARE Management are housed in the Dean of Students Office and consist of a team of professionals from several units. This presentation will give a brief overview of these student support services, and how students, faculty, staff, family, friends or community members concerned about a student's well-being can advocate for and support students through stressful life circumstances and other needs.
