Mission The CWRU Journal of Economics is a student-led organization that gives students of all years and backgrounds the opportunity to learn about economic research and gain data-driven project experience. The primary components of the club are team projects and professional development events. In teams, students collaborate on projects related to Ohio's economy under the guidance of a student editor and a faculty member. These projects lead to a semesterly publication, featuring current analyses, editorial-like articles, and research articles. Through this output, we connect students with similar interests, create mentorship between under/upperclassmen and between students/professors, and satisfy local media requests for the Economics Department. The other primary component of our club is professional development opportunities. We organize events specific to economic research-related career paths, including speakers, panels, research seminars, and internship application workshops, among others.
