For our first event of the semester, we'll be celebrating Seollal, or Korean New Year. The holiday is usually celebrated over several days where families would come together to perform Korean rituals such as ýä©Ù░░ or "sebae" (bowing to the elders as a sign of respect), eat traditional foods, play folk games, and other activities. One of the flagship foods of Seollal is ÙûíÛÁ¡ or "dduk-guk" which is a rice cake soup. For our event, we'll be eating ÙûíÛÁ¡ and other snacks together and have our own version of Seollal. Hope to see you there to celebrate the new year!!
