Top 3 ways to use Scite.ai as a research tool

Scite.ai is an AI-enhanced research database that assists with locating and contextualizing scholarship in the STEM and social sciences disciplines.  As a tool for enhancing the literature review process, Scite.ai helps researchers accelerate the process of:

  • Identifying key terminology, concepts, and trends in an area of study

  • Locating core studies and uncovering connections between them

  • Assessing the current and potential interdisciplinarity of a research field

For questions and to learn more, visit the library’s Artificial Intelligence Guide.

New Open Access Publishing with American Chemical Society (ACS)

CWRU-affiliated authors are now able to publish open access journal articles in ACS’s hybrid journals at no cost, with no yearly limits. This deal was negotiated through OhioLINK and covers articles accepted for publication between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 in any of ACS’s hybrid journals.

To receive this open access publication fee waiver, the corresponding author should be affiliated with CWRU at acceptance and publish an original research and review article in an eligible journal. Once accepted, authors will be offered the option automatically by ACS and able to publish their article under a CC-BY 4.0 license.

Authors that have their articles accepted with an eligible journal published by ACS will be given the option to opt-out of open access publishing. If the corresponding author chooses not to publish their article as open access, their article will be published under a subscription model behind a paywall, and their copyright would transfer to ACS.

To learn more about open access publishing opportunities available to CWRU authors, please visit CWRU Libraries’ guide to Open Access Agreements and Other Funding.

For questions, please contact CWRU Libraries at  scholarlycomm@case.edu
